Material Use and Care
Our jewelry is crafted in both high-quality sterling silver and 18-karat gold plating to offer a wide selection for various style preferences and occasions.
Sterling silver, which we use as the main material for our jewelry, is known for its durability and elegant luster. It consists of 92.5% pure silver, which gives it its characteristic strength and durability. Sterling silver jewelry is not only stylish but also robust enough to withstand daily demands, making it an ideal choice for timeless accessories.
For all who love the warm glow of gold, we also offer our evior jewelry in 18k gold vermeil. The base is made of 925 sterling silver, which is then refined with a particularly high-quality, thick layer of 18k gold. This stronger gold plating ensures an intense golden color, a valuable feel, and a significantly more durable surface than traditionally thinly plated jewelry. However, since it is still a refined gold surface, gold vermeil also requires conscious handling and proper care. If you protect your jewelry from water, perfume, cosmetics, and strong friction, its beauty will be preserved for as long as possible. In this way, evior combines the radiance of gold with a high-quality, more accessible alternative to solid gold.
The combination of sterling silver and 18K gold plating offers the best of both worlds: the robustness and durability of silver paired with the luxurious appeal of gold. This choice of materials makes it possible to create high-quality yet affordable jewelry that can be worn both everyday and on special occasions. With proper care – such as avoiding direct contact with chemicals, perfumes, and water – both our silver and gold-plated pieces will remain in their original, radiant condition for many years.
Our jewelry pieces are therefore not only an expression of style and elegance but also of quality and longevity. Whether in simple silver or luxuriously gold-plated, each piece tells its own story and becomes an indispensable companion in everyday life and beyond.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning: Sterling silver and 18K gold plating should be cleaned regularly to remove dirt, oil, and dust. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and special silver or gold cleaning cloths for this. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents to prevent damage to the plating.
- Storage: Store your jewelry in a dry, dark place, ideally in a jewelry box or a soft pouch. Avoid storing multiple pieces together to prevent scratches. Silver and gold plating can tarnish when exposed to air and moisture, so it's important to store them protected.
- Wearing: Avoid contact of your jewelry with water, chemicals, perfume, and lotions. Remove your jewelry when showering, swimming, and exercising to protect the surface, prevent wear, and maintain the pearl's luster.
- Care: If your jewelry tarnishes, it can be polished back to a shine with a special silver cleaning cloth or a gold polishing cloth. For more severe discoloration, you can have the piece professionally cleaned. Pearls should also be cared for with caution; it is best to use a fine cleaning cloth for them.
By following these simple care tips, you can ensure that your evior jewelry retains its radiant shine and beauty for many years to come.
